Pete & Sam's Restaurant: Authentic Italian Pizza in Memphis

They lost our reservation, but still found a way and got us a 11 person table. We were in the backroom with 3 or 4 other families and only 1 waiter was serving the whole room!! But she did an amazing job with waiting all the tables! Her name was JOCELYN, and deserves much praise. (We also love the baby pizza!) Overall an amazing experience. 10/10 would go again.

1-2-26 We arrived just after opening so were seated right away. The waitress greeted us and took our drink orders and asked about appetizers, which we also ordered. We then didn't see the waitress again until the app was delivered. Once we got the app, we placed our order for food. It came out faster than the app did, and was delivered by a kitchen staff member. Wife ordered ravioli with marinara sauce, of which was plenty. I had cannelloni filled with meat, and covered with marinara and cheese, served in the dish it was baked in. We had two friends with us as well. One had lasagna, also served in the baking dish, the other had spinach and ricotta ravioli, which looked delicious. All of the food was good and had large portions. Our conversation focused on the waitress. While she wasn't unpleasant, she wasn't pleasant either. She didn't speak unless spoken to. When she brought drinks, she sort of pushed them at us. And we didn't see her smile in the 90 minutes we were there.

Food was delicious. Very authentic Italian food. Blackened grouper was my favorite as well as the red sauce on the meatballs and spaghetti and ravioli. Fettuccine was also very good! Toasted ravioli was not very good. Ravioli tasted not cooked all the way through, it was an odd texture. Service was wonderful. Iced tea was very tasty. Ambiance was great. It gives old time casino/ theater vibes to me. I loved our visit and can't wait to come back.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Valentines meal. It was our first visit and we definitely will return.

I ordered my food from here through Uber eats, I order lots of food delivered because I work a lot and I'm not always able to travel to someplace I want to try. Now believe me when I say, you can tell a lot about a restaurant when you get their food to go. How they pack it and also how they arrange it, do they make sure the accoutrements are included. This restaurant checks ALL the boxes! I'm sure my photo doesn't do it justice, but they included the bread and even packaged some seasoned olive oil in a sealed container, and the large salad I ordered ( not pictured ) even came with extra dressing. I'm here in Memphis for business for a couple of months, and I've already ordered from them a couple of times and I've not been disappointed. I'm looking forward to actually going there and eating inside. Great food!!

Classic Memphis restaurant experience. Atmosphere is old-fashioned—dark and cozy, especially the party room. Popular place for groups in general. Traditional Italian-American menu. Cheese sticks are good. Chicken dishes seem hit or miss, but lasagna, ravioli, and Italian spinach have been solid. One of the best bbq pizzas around. Prices seem high, but portions are large. Cocktails are good too, with a busy bar area.

First visit but definitely not the last! We sat in the bar at a table. The vibe is retro 60's, very cool! Lots of celebrity photos on the walls. Awesome cocktails, incredible appetizers and the main dishes are generous sizes perfect to share (if you want to, I didn't ) The lasagna is the absolute best I've ever had!!! Staff is very attentive and friendly.

Pete and Sam’s has always been my favorite Memphis restaurant and my choice for any occasion. As a lifelong Memphian, I have lots of special memories from Pete and Sam’s and being there always feels like home. Recently, my family planned a surprise birthday party for me and Pete and Sam’s did not disappoint! The food was delicious (as always) and the service was on point! Kelsey was wonderful in coordinating and making sure everything went as planned. The menu choices of lasagna, spaghetti with meat sauce and fettuccini alfredo were perfect for a large crowd, and everyone left full and happy! Big kudos to Kelsey and the entire staff for making a “milestone” birthday extra special!!!
